| Wrapping the goodies |
Three years ago I asked Bill's mom to knit us a 21 day calendar to count down solstice. I had made a really cool one when Zoey was 18 months on but it was a Christmas tree with 24 days on it. Anne knit us 21 hats and mittens, all numbered, and we string it up and I fill it with goodies for each of the kids. The great part is that 21 is divisible by 3 just perfectly. Last year we DID NOT have the calendar because the year before it was so painfully difficult for Griffin to wait every third day for his surprise. This year I thought he'd be up for it and he is doing a great job being patient.
Gifts this year included: modeling clay, all sorts of candy, bath salts, an iTunes gift card, a Starbucks gift card, a robot bug, window decorations, socks and tic tacs...
